Un element foarte important pentru identitatea media a unei firme o reprezinta crearea logo-ului acesteia (sigla + slogan = logo). Logo-ul trebuie sa exprime unicitatea firmei, sa fie in ton cu domeniul de activitate al firmei, sa fie usor de retinut sa poata fi folosit cu succes in toate mediile publicitare. Procesul de web design ar trebui sa porneasca de fapt de la logo. Este recomandabil ca un logo odata creat sa nu mai fie schimbat. De aceea trebuie acordata o foarta mare atentie procesului de creare a logo-ului.
